Mr. and Mrs. Varn!

Tiffany and Josh are such a fabulous couple. You don’t even have to really know them to see just how in love they are. They were so much fun to work with and both have a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed my time with you guys (all 10 hours) :)

Here’s hoping you have a wonderful life together and may you be more in love tomorrow than you are today!

Who’s this smilin’ girl!

When I met with Lil M at our pre-session consult, she was nothing but smiles. I mean, you didn’t even have to make those sweet baby noises at her, she would just look up at you and grin from ear to ear. Well, that was then, and their session was today! Lil M while not in a bad mood, had NO room for smiles today. She studied my camera very seriously and though she did not cry, she was very stoic the whole time. Ahhhh, but not the WHOLE time. Lil M was sly with her grin! You had to catch her at just the right moment. The moment that was usually just before she spit up everywhere. She cracked a grin as if she knew it was coming and as to say “Ahhh, just look what I have for you!” Lil M and her family were such a joy to work with. I love it when I walk in and I have parents who are just so over come with joy that they cannot stop smiling at their sweet bundle of baby. Thank you for making my visit so pleasurable and for being so welcoming!

Meet Baby Grady!

Oh this lil man was sweet as PIE! I could have sat there and held him all day. His mom is an awesome woman too! She was telling me all about her volunteer work with our local no-kill shelter. Well, guess what….she has gone above and beyond and adopted 10 dogs! THAT is dedication I tell you. Anyhow, she and Grady were a pleasure and I cannot wait to watch this lil guy grow.

Relay for Life!

I can honestly say that charity work is some of my favorite stuff to do. Shooting Relay for Life in Florida holds a special place in my heart. I lost my grandma to breast cancer in 2004. I also lost an uncle to cancer when I was in my first year of college. This is just one way to honor them and keep their memory alive.  So, you, Uncle Donnie, and Big G, you are what I walked for, and photographed for.

Goodbye my friend….

It is with great sadness that I write this blog. Yesterday I was hit with the news of the death of my friend. It was in that moment that I realized just how important it is, what I and other photographers do. I had just recently had a session with Kevin and his family in south Georgia. He and his wife Jacki are amazing people. The things they have done for the community in Athens is just amazing. My heart aches for her. We will miss you Kevin.
Kevin, you will be missed.

What is a Mini Session?

A mini session is designed around a particular theme. Most Mini Sessions are run for 3 days and are seasonal. Mini Session fees are $50 and include 30 minutes of studio time, no clothing changes, and are only photographed on the featured set. Mini Session products are not the same as regular portrait session products and have their own price list. Packages for Mini Sessions start at $30 and go up from there with tons of add ons available.
