That thing…..That thing called Love….

So, I know it has been a while since I updated, but vacationing in the mountains was fabulous. Now, being without cell phone service and email for so many days was a bit scary, but I made it through just fine. While in North Carolina, I was able to meet up with Megann and Greg whose wedding I am photographing in October. We had a blast doing engagement photos in High Point. Megann and Greg are such a fun couple. They really know how to have a good time and take a joke. They reminded me a lot of Tiffany and Josh. Never having to utter a word about being together or in love, you just saw it. It was just there. The most important part though is that they really know how to laugh together!

Having so much fun over the weekend has made me really excited to be able to spend all day with you guys on your wedding day! Thanks for a great Saturday!

Not just any teacher….

She also happens to be my son’s first grade teacher! This is the Taylor Family. Mrs. Taylor is by far one of the best teachers we have had! If I could write out a wish list of characteristics that I thought one should have to compliment Aiden’s learning style she would encompass them all! Fun does not begin to describe this family. They were all just so great to work with. They are all also very hard working! While they might not know it, I do appreciate them taking time away from their sleep to have me photograph them!

Game on!

Aiden had a soccer game on Friday! He was so excited because his grandparents came all the way up from Florida to watch him. I must admit, it was his best game. He scored his first goal of the season and played an awesome goalie. Well, as awesome a goalie as one can play when they aren’t allowed to use their hands! Go figure. But, they don’t seem to mind. It was a very action packed fast pace game, and ended in a very close score.

 In addition to the excitment of the game, Ella created a little excitement of her own! Wow, for two she sure is fast. Apparently, a lil too fast for her feet……

Sallie Sallie Sallie…..

A girl after my own heart! Sometimes you meet kids and you just “get” them. Sallie is one of those kids for me. A little girl with a sense of adventure I imagine. I imagine her as something of a tomboy. Choosing to be outside exploring and bursting with energy over inside with Barbies and tea parties. A bit of a dare devil too I bet. Just yesterday she fell off her scooter scraping her face. I think her mom could have just about killed her knowing we were doing her photos today. But it all worked out! Her little hint of a grin gets me everytime. Like I can see the wheels in her head just turning and turning!

So, feeling all pretty, and needing some portraits of myself for the new website, I took my assistant Juls with me to downtown Athens. We had a great time, but felt really old amongst all the college students. Not to mention just a weeee bit bigger than them too Juls learned some things about dealing with bigger than average models, as well as what a prime lens has to offer. And, NO JULS, you may not take my new lens!
