And color too. I like to do things that involve more than one photo. During my session with Kacy, I took the main photo below with this idea in mind.

That doesn’t even begin to sum up Philip. He is an all around amazingly genuine young man. Easy to talk to, funny, and well mannered, Philip made my job CAKE! There was nothing directive about his poses. I told him where to go, and he did his thing. I have no doubt that Philip will do big things regardless of the path he chooses. While he has so many he could go down, I can assure you he will succeed at what ever he decides to do. Thanks again for making my job tonight so easy.

Well, weekends like this anyway!
It all started Saturday morning with one of my most favorite families. Matt and Kasay are the most incredible parents to their lovely little Mercer. I photographed Mercer a few months ago as a 3 month old, and to see her on Saturday was such a treat. While she truly still looks exactly the same (see the old blog entries for her 3 month shots) she has really grown in the last three months. She can sit up, wants to stand so bad she can taste it, and she even discovered the feel of grass between her fingers for the first time. As always Matt and Kasay, it was my pleasure to capture your family.
I call this first one my happy accident. I love these little moments that pop up in between photos.

Now, after this fabulous family session, our oldest was in a show at Nuci’s Space. She attended Camp Amped this summer for two weeks where she was put in a band with three other people she didn’t know. Her band, along with 4 others that were formed put on a ROCKIN’ SHOW!!!! I cannot tell you all how much Nuci’s has meant to our daughter and family this summer. If any of you are into music, or donating to great non-profits, I beg you to think of Nuci’s Space!

And then….I get to end the weekend working with a FABULOUS young lady by the name of Kacy. Fun, bubbly, and very charasmatic, Kacy was a joy to work with. She had no objections to doing whatever I asked of her, even if it felt weird and awkward. Even more fun, was the fact that her mom joined us. I just love being able to see the realtionships between teens and their parents. Kacy and her mom’s relationship was obvious……an equal admiration and respect for each other. While they may not always see eye to eye, they certainly always respect, and take into consideration one another opinions. Kacy has grown up to be a beautiful young lady, and with her personality, I am sure will go on to do big things!!!

This couple was FABULOUS! Giggly, gazing, and passionate all in one. I am not sure why I have been blessed with couples who are SO very much in love, but I have been. And, in all honesty….I ain’t complainin’!!!
These folks were just down right fun. A lil uncomfortable at first? Of COURSE! But, who isn’t when they are feeling like the paprazzi is following them in downtown Athens, on streets that are less than deserted?
Thank you Katie and Pete for a great evening. Best wishes to you both. And, here is hopin’ I catch you on myspace

THAT long? I tell you what, summer is NOT a chill time for me. With all 5 kids out of school, there seems to be a never ending pile of dishes, laundry, and things to do. Don’t get me wrong, I love spending the summer with my kids, but that also mean something has to be put on the back burner. This month it was the blog! Sorry about that. But I can assure you, in a few weeks we will be right on back to normal.
Summer doesn’t mean a break in work however! Last week I had a session with two of the cutest little girls! Mary Paige and Addie are just the sweetest sisters ever. While it took Addie a bit to warm up, we finally figured out that all we had to do was play her a lil’ Fergie and we were good to go! Miss Mary Paige was a pro. She didn’t need any help in figuring out how to stand or position herslef, and was the sweetest thing EVER! While I know we all had a good time, I am sure the folks in Doc Chey’s had fun watching me on the sidewalk on my stomach
