Dru, you rockstar you.
Juls and I had a fabulous morning hanging out with North Oconee’s newly elected Student Body President. Style, personality, and a sense of humor….what more could we ask for??? Oh, I know…..her cool mom!!! Everyone needs a Miz President’s Cool Mom. I love parents who are supportive of their children, and Mrs. Gunter certainly is that
Ok Dru…. hold your breath….. you’ve been Stylized……………….. hahahahhaa, not really, I’ve just been dyin’ to say that :-p

Because, I will. That’s a given!
A lot of you have already called to book holiday photos. Some of you who got in on the offer below have talked about possibly doing a holiday outfit.
Well….all you moms of girls…..I saw some of the CUTEST dresses. Really…super cute and super simple. I am all about simplicity! At Sam’s Club, in the clothing section, there are adorable holiday dresses in green, red, and I think black with plaid trim. They poof out like little ball gowns at the bottom. If I recall correctly, they are velvet like on the outside. See, I forgot already!
Anyhow…..the price….$17! I am all about a bargain, but really, price aside, these are GREAT dresses.
Yea, you know me…all about the give aways. Well, this one has all my associates thinking I am off my rocker!!! (which, is not too far from the truth)

These things can be hard to read….so let me type it out for ya!
For a limited time I am offering a handful of FREE STUDIO SESSIONS with a FREE DIGITAL FILE!!
What does a digital file do for me? Ha!
You will receive a high resolution file for printing up to 8×10, and then a web-sized low resolution file to share with family and friends via emial, blog, webpage, and more.
Again, I only have a handful of these to give away, so this is a first come first reserve offer!
Call now to book your complimentary studio session….706-247-5086
huh? Whatever am I talking about??
These past few weeks have been crazy around here. I have done so many fun sessions I want to share, but I can’t
Well, why the heck not??
I promise, it’s for a good reason. The first secret is from North Carolina. I drove up to meet Megann, bride to be (10/6) to do some bridals. While I had a fabulous time and got some GREAT shots, I just can’t post them until after the wedding. I would hate for Greg’s curiosity to get the best of him and he go peeking here.
The second secret….well…this one has to be well kept. I do work for Lila Couture, and we just got done photographing this fall’s new line. OH MY GOODNESS!!! Ladies, if you are in the market for a wedding gown…check these new ones out. I will have their new catalog available AFTER Fall Market which is at the end of October. Sneak peeks are available upon request though
Oh, but there is one thing I can share! The new studio is up and running!! Juls and I played over there Saturday night and got some fun shots. There is so much we will be able to do now that we couldn’t before!

Also…Friday morning….oh man…Friday morning….
It was the birthday event of the YEAR! All gathered at the Taylor Grady house for “Ms. B’s” 80th birthday party! Oh yea, I can hear you all now…80th birthday…sounds like some event…but man….you bet your behind it WAS. I have NEVER had so much fun in my career. Listening to the stories….sharing in love these ladies have for one another. It was just too much for words. I want to thank Heather again for recommending me to this family, it was a wonderful time, and they are fabulous people!

Two sessions yesterday. Newborn and a senior. I had never really thought about the difference before. But here I was with this young lady, about to be “grown” and “on her own”, and it hit me…one day this will be MY daughter. Then, to go back and do the newborn session….I was hit with…this WAS my kids. So sweet, small, and innocent with parents there, protecting them, fulfilling their every need. Man, you don’t know HOW BAD I wanted to bust out pics of my session from Lydia and tell these parents….and THIS is what you have to look forward to
Lydia was a trip. Her and her best girl Brittany. The weather was horrible though. However, Lyds looked fabulous and we were able to pull of some great shots….sweat and all! Me sweating..not her of course

And then…..THEN…..the most calming, relaxing baby environment I have been in. Seth and Amanda are the COOLEST parents. Everything around them was music driven. Royce would cry, Seth would bust out the guitar and Amanda would sing a song. Really…to be there, and watch it…was amazing!!

You guys!!! I have just invested in STUDIO SPACE!!! It is absolutely perfect for my outdoor work and will be big enough to do indoor studio lighting with 3-4 subjects! I am so excited, and as soon as everything is just right I will be running an AWESOME special to get you all to come check it out!!!
Excuse the crappy pics below….I was not intending on putting them on the blog, but I am just TOOOOO excited!

When I first got wind that I was “tagged” I was totally expecting to see some sort of random hacker grafitti on my blog or website. But nope, no such defacing of websites exists in the world of Blog Tag! So, to be TAGGED means that I must reveal 8 things about myself that others may not know! Seeing as how I talk a WHOLE big bunch, I find it hard to believe I can come up with 8, but I will surely try
1. I have 2 sisters. One older, one younger. I definitely suffer from Middle Child Syndrome.
2. I have only lived in one other city in my life. Tallahassee, FL. I moved to Athens in 2003 for Greg’s post-doc.
3. I was an athlete. I say was because with 5 kids I don’t have much time for doing my own thing. But anyhow, in highschool I played basketball, volleyball and softball. I went to FAMU on a full ride for softball.
4. I used to have a tongue ring
5. My favorite flower is a daisy. I don’t care for roses at ALL. Their beauty is so fleeting. Or, maybe my taking care of them just plain stinks.
6. My favorite ice cream in the WHOLE world is Baskin Robbins Peanut Butter and Chocolate. Mmmm Mmmmm GOOD!
7. I didn’t really learn to cook until about 2 years ago. Greg has always been the cook of the house. But in March of 2005 he took a job that required a TON of travel. So, while my kids could have happily survived on Happy Meals and Chick fil A for dinner every night, my pocket book just could not support that! So, I learned to cook. And, I am quite a good cook now if I might say so myself. Or perhaps my kids know what will happen to them if ever the words “This taste horrible” comes out of their mouths!
8. Ohhhh, this one ALWAYS makes people laugh. As I stated in #2. I also lived in Tallahassee, you know, the town of the Criminoles. Oh, *cough cough* I mean Seminoles! Well, that puts me living in two towns where football is a MAJOR sport/way of life/tradition. Well, I have NEVER been to a football game. Ever. I just cannot imagine enjoying the game anywhere but my couch! No line for the bathroom, my own personal waiter uhhh, I mean watching the game with my husband. Cheaper food and drinks, and, the one major thing……HEAT AND AIR that I control! Don’t get me wrong…I can tailgate with the best of them, but watching and enjoying the game….no where but the comfort of my own home.
So, now I feel pretty stupid reading my 8 things. But DANG, this was hard. I really think I ought to just stick to taking photos, I could never do an autobiography.
