And ohhhhhh did this family have it today! I can always count on these folks to show up looking extra fabulous. Mom really puts a lot of time and effort in making sure they all three look good. And it is never the easy road, oh no, no plain polos and khaki pants for them. Today was red. Red and……white? NOPE! Cream!! And there was no better choice either. The colors complimented them all very well.

And yes, these are probably familiar faces to you all. Some of my most favorite folks to work with. They even dig the not so happy crying baby pics

Ohhh, and did Angie ever have her family stylin’ yesterday! I could not have asked for a better wardrobe to work with. More than the fab clothes though are the AWESOME parents. Seriously….awesome. When I grow up, I want to be just like them! Here is the Sanders family, all decked out in their photo clothes, and I know you can hear it…in the back of your mind……”Now kids, don’t wipe your hands on your shirt. Be sure to not get dirty.” Ahhh, but see that is what WE would say. That is NOT what THEY say! And that is why I love them so.

I had a blast yesterday, and can’t think of a better way to have started my weekend. Thanks Sanders for being open, fun, and allowing your boys to just be THEM!

Meet…..the Sanders…

Because you never love your first baby any less….

And it doesn’t matter if that first baby is boy or beast!

 So, I am doing a session for a family tonight. Mom shoots me an email a few days ago asking if it was ok to bring in their dog for a family picture. He is their first baby ya know! Well, I don’t mind animals, really. And now that the studio is out of the house and in its own space, doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

I am glad I said no problem…..this was the most well behaved animal I have ever worked with. EVER. Hands down, numero uno in manners, behavior, and just over all attitude. Eddie is his name. And, his “parents” love him just as dearly as they do their newest addition. 5 month old Luke. Ohhhhh LUKE! I am convinced that both boy and dog are a product of their environment. You have loving, gentle, well behaved dog…and…smiley, happy, cooperative even when obviously tired boy!

Luke was such a trooper for me tonight. Mom and Dad were troopers too! Totally chill, laid back parents. Obviously smitten with their little man. I had a great time tonight. Never has my job felt so easy! Thanks guys.

Yeah, that’s for all you High School Musical fans! L and E are MAJOR HSM fans. I think we listened to Bop to the Top at LEAST 4 times while we were shooting. To some, it may be annoying….but not me. It gives me an excuse to sing it! Sing it and not look like an idiot when I pull up next to the nearest college student downtown with it BLARING on my radio and there is not a child in sight in my car

So, thank you L and E for allowing me to get that out of my system tonight.

These two are hilarious girls. Really, I am not just saying that. They kept me CRACKING up all night long. Performing, dancing, smiling, being crazy….I loved it. I will be offering a Merry and Bright Christmas Special sometime in November, and these are a brief glimpse of what it will look like!

And these two…oh, it is so much more than love. It is this quiet, soft, passion they have. I mean, I could not have asked for a better couple to work with this afternoon. I had a blast at lunch with Heather and her mom a few months back. But today, today was AWESOME. She and Patrick are fabulous together. They have that giddy kind of love. The kind where no matter how serious they are supposed to be, they can’t help but look at each other and smile. And not just any smile….the smile that says it all….the smile that screams I LOVE YOU, and YOU make me happy. Genuine, true, and honest. That is Patrick and Heather

Oh MY gosh, what a hilarious time I had today with her and her mom. First, let me tell you….Mrs. Katlyn’s mom…so not lookin’ like a mom. When she told me she had THREE kids in high school…and no, they aren’t twins or triplets, and her oldest is graduating this year….yeah, I bout fell over. Shoot, I should have taken a photo of her just to show you all!

And…YOU….YOU Katlyn….you crack my butt up. Seriously….seriously. I had such a great time. And, ladies and gentlemen, this has been a RECORD day.

Record day?? Why is that?

 Well, you see, I NEVER….NEVER get to come home to a quiet empty house. Doesn’t happen. But, since I skipped on on the bible beaters today, I got home before my family came back from church So? Who cares?

Well, Katlyn, tell your ppl to check their calendars….YOU ARE PROOFED. Every image….all done, ready to go. Your session was shot, transferred, processed and proofed out in about 2 hours. So, now we need to set up an ordering appointment!

shhhhhh….just don’t tell Megann and Greg….I put off their 16,785 wedding images to get you up and going!

Sibling Rivalry….pppshhhaawww

Did you read that section in the “What to expect” books? Yeah…I think they left that part out, not wanting to scare us while we are still pregnant. The wonderful world of siblings! I know I know, not always wonderful. They fuss, they fight….even pull hair

But really, when you get down to it….there is nothing like the love siblings have for each other. And even through all the loud, wild, unnecessary bickering, you can’t help but love these faces.

 *As a disclaimer….not ONE of these children showed any sign of sibling rivalry. It just made for a good topic

I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date…

Well, ok, not really. But a little.

I usually have something for my bride and groom to see the day after the wedding. Nothing like interrupting the honeymoon to get a peek at the events of the previous day. Wellllllllll……

Megann and Greg, I apologize for holding out on you and making you wait. However….wait no more, here is a little peek at your day!

I tell y’all what…these two…these two remind me SO MUCH of my husband and I. Although, I am pretty sure we are a little more PDA than them

Anyhow, back on topic. This was by far the most personable ceremony I have been a part of. The ministers, having known Megann since she was a kid, put the perfect touches on their ceremony. But, I think that two other parts stand out more. One, is when Megann, upon reaching the end of the aisle, stands next to her man, and leans over and kisses him before we even got started! Now THAT is straight to the point. The other….the other still has Greg and I laughing. I promise to be faithful Mr. Huggins. The word you were looking for was faithful. While, I know, that can be a stump of a word for some people, I have NO DOUBT that you were still in complete awe that your bride had already kissed you at the alter before she was actually YOUR BRIDE, that you stumbled a bit during that “repeat after me” part. That’s the story we will go with anyhow   It is also without a doubt that I can say I have not seen too many other people who were just simply made for each other. You guys were the best. We appreciate your laid back, calm, cool, and collected approach to your day. I can’t wait to come back up and see you guys!

I really cannot believe it is already October. I also cannot believe how MILD the weather has been lately. Man, I hope it stays this way!
